Rethinking Digital Cultures from Impact to Responsibility
How can creative industries adapt their economic models to be more sustainable? What strategies can help immersive and hybrid works reach new audiences? And how can collaboration and international networks strengthen resilience across the digital arts ecosystem?
DIGITAL DAYS at the French Institute
October 16 and 18, 2025 – Prague
The digital arts are experiencing a paradox. Never have they been so visible, so hybrid and so multi-disciplinary. And yet, the digital creative sector is facing major economic, social, and ecological challenges. Through a series of conferences and workshops, this program aims to highlight such issues, while exploring the levers of resilience and structuring an ecosystem that is more necessary than ever. From impact to responsibility, the aim is to collectively consider the future of digital cultures.
Experts will discuss urgent questions: How can creative industries adapt their economic models to be more sustainable? What strategies can help immersive and hybrid works reach new audiences? And how can collaboration and international networks strengthen resilience across the digital arts ecosystem?
Featured speakers include Mathieu Vabre (Artistic Director, CHRONIQUES Biennial), Pavel Mrkus (Head Curator, Signal Festival), Annabelle Playe (Artist, Ana Compagnie), Céline Berthoumieux (Co-director, CHRONIQUES & General Delegate, HACNUM), and Paul Bouchard (Head of International Distribution, Diversion), among others. A selection of French VR works will also be showcased by Diversion during the event.
The event is co-organised by the French Institute in Prague, HACNUM and Signal Festival. Supported by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the French Institute, as part of the strategy for the international promotion of cultural and creative industries (PICC – Cultural and Creative Industries Program).
Free entry upon registration. Programming will be held in English.
