The Dnipro Yavornytskyi National Historical Museum of Dnipro, one of Ukraine’s top five museums, has a rich history spanning over 150 years and houses a collection of more than 250,000 items. Named after the Ukrainian historian D.I. Yavornytskyi, who led the museum for 31 years, the museum’s exhibits encompass a broad spectrum of historical and cultural artefacts from Ukraine, Egypt, Greece, Japan, India and China. Highlights include Polovtsian stone statues and artefacts from the Scythians and Sarmatians. The museum features diverse attractions such as dioramas, exhibition halls, and specialised “museums within the museum,” and serves as a key resource for numismatists, photographers and weapon enthusiasts. It also hosts temporary exhibitions from various cities and countries.
