The HERITALISE project funded by the EU, which commenced in January 2025 with the European Museum Academy as a partner, is rapidly advancing and already making contributions. Most recently, HERITALISE participated in the ECHOES Workshop held on May 5th in Athens, Greece. During the workshop, HERITALISE showcased real-world use cases from heritage sites, discussed challenges and advancements in 3D research, and presented innovations in AI-supported data acquisition, XR/VR tools, and 3D printing applications, highlighting its role in empowering the preservation, access, and reuse of European cultural heritage through digital and cloud-based services.
HERITALISE is now inviting professionals across the cultural heritage sector to participate the Memory Twin Alliance Survey, exploring an evolution beyond Digital Twins that integrates data, metadata, paradata, and interpretive layers to support long-term preservation and reusable 2D/3D assets across various cultural institutions. We encourage all relevant professionals to participate via the survey link. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3DMTAS
The HERITALISE project aims to revolutionize the documentation and understanding of cultural heritage (CH) through advanced digitalisation and AI-powered tools. Its goal is to transform raw data into valuable insights, creating a knowledge graph for easy exploration. This ecosystem is
designed to integrate with the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH), providing a scalable, web-based platform for European CH institutions to share, access, and build upon enriched digital resources for preservation and research.
