Pre-conference webinar events: Shaping museum futures


We would like to share the pre-conference webinar events held by the Department of Arts, Open Communities and Adult Education, University of Malta.

Coordinated by Carmel Borg, Sandro Debono and with a special guest – Mike Murawski (change leader and co-creator of the movement #museumsarenotneutral), a lineup of keynote speakers, who are going to present a personal reaction to future challenges and ambitions during the webinars, are as follows: Nina Simon (changemaker and CEO of the international movement OF/BY FOR ALL), Diane Drubay (founder of We Are Museums), Alistair Hudson (Director of the Whitworth and Manchester Art Gallery, United Kingdom), Kristin Alford (Director of Australia’s future-focused museum MOD), Sebastian Chan (Chief Experience Officer at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image in Melbourne) and Kayleigh Bryant-Greenwell (Head of Public Programs with Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Renwick Gallery).

The pre-conference webinar events precede the call for papers and posters for the conference ‘MUŻE.X – Shaping Museum Futures’ taking place in October 2021.
