Muze.X Shaping Museum Futures invites submission of papers for the biennial conference. The #deadline is June 12, 2021. You can submit your paper proposal using the form on this link. It is requested to provide a title and an abstract (not more than 300 words) for a 20-minute paper or other form of presentation, your name and affiliation (if any), including a short bio-note (not more than 200 words), and five keywords that best capture the essence of your presentation.
The keynote speakers are as follows:
Riel Miller, the main keynote speaker, is one of the world’s leading authorities on the theory and practice of using the future to change what people see and do. He is the Head of Futures Literacy at UNESCO and his latest book ‘Transforming the Future: Anticipation in the 21st Century’ is available in English, French and Arabic.
Diane Drubay is a long-standing member of the museum and innovation effervescence, a specialist in museum strategy but also an event curator, community builder, writer and artist. She is the founder and brains behind We Are Museums, the international online community spearheading discussion about museum futures.
Jette Sandahl has just co-authored the book ‘Revisiting Museums of Influence — Four Decades of Innovation and Public Quality in European Museums’ published in November 2020. One other publication is ‘The Museum Definition’ (Museum International, 71, France 2019) featuring her thoughts on the museum idea and its definition.
Mike Murawski is a change-maker, museum thinker, independent museum advisor and author living in Portland (Oregon, U.S.A.). He is the proud co-founder of the #MuseumsAreNotNeutral campaign which actively campaigns against the myth of museum neutrality.
Last but not least, Fabio Viola, an award-winning digital entertainment producer with an academic background in the humanities. He is the founder of TuoMuseo, an international collective of artists working to break the boundaries between culture and interactive media.
