It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andrew, after a short illness. He was associated with the European Museum Academy for 15 years and was a valued member of our Pool of Experts, visiting candidates for our awards with his customary enthusiasm and insight, and responding to our requests for assistance even when in Australia.
The EMA family has had to bid farewell to our beloved friend colleague and mentor, Wim van der Weiden, one of the founders of EMA in 2009, who passed away on 28 October after a difficult illness.

The award competition season has now ended, candidate museums have been visited by the jury, and it is now time to announce and invite everyone to the annual EMA Meeting. This year the meeting will be held in Timişoara, Romania, from Thursday 14 to Saturday 16 September and will begin with a welcome reception on Thursday.

The Vest-Agder Museum in Norway won the European Museum Academy Prize last September with their impressive, multigenerational I-ON Project.
The project will be presented in Brussel April 26th.
