DASA Award 2024

The DASA Award puts the spotlight on educational programs and exhibitions in museums. It ranges beyond programs itself and takes learning opportunities in the broad sense of the word.

It’s about learning opportunities in museums

The DASA Award puts the spotlight on educational programs and exhibitions within (or with) museums. It ranges beyond programs itself and takes learning opportunities in the broad sense of the word.

The jury of museum experts will pay attention to aspects like innovative and daring approaches, whether there is an active participation of the audience, if and how there is a connection with communities and (local) partners, to what extent the program(s) includes people with (learning) disabilities, in what way societal issues are addressed, and such. Evaluation methodology and its results will be part of the review too.

The award is supported by DASA Working World Exhibition in Dortmund.

Participation strengthens your visibility

The annual European Museum Academy Award Ceremony will put the museums – and especially the winner – in the spotlight. The winner will receive a trophy specially designed for the occasion. There will be given extra media-attention through the networks of the European Museum Academy and its partners.

Participation thus strengthens your visibility, and all participants will have some taglines to use in heir own communications to audiences and decision-makers. The award ceremony is also the place to exchange with colleagues and see extraordinary examples.
